Acorn squash

The forecast is for rain. We’ll have to eat inside this noon. In the fireplace a few glowing embers - good.

So off to the pantry (fibber magee) for a few sleepy acorn squash, dress them in aluminium foil and place them gently on the coals.

Lamar, Ann's mother cuts them in half with a pat of butter, then into the oven - arg how cruel !

45 minutes later with a smidgen of nutmeg –umm.
