C'est une belle fleur que je ne connaissais pas. Si j'en croise je penserais à la soupe.

I am catching up, jp, and reading many posts at once. I think the tastiest hemerocallis are the ones that have been less hybridized. For us here is Virginia, it's the fully naturalized H. fulva. I eat them in salads - never made soup with them (although I have bought the dry buds in Chinese stores year ago and cooked with them). Will definitively have to try next year when the filed by the stream is blooming. The roots and just emerging shoots are also supposed to be tasty!
